App Giveaway: Stack the States

Stack The States App

The winner is Travis H.

iGameMom has another giveaway this week.  It is the very awesome Stack the States by Dan Russell-Pinson.  It is a very addictive game app teaching kids the geography of US states: capitals, state shapes, map locations …  If you want to learn more about this app, please go HERE.

The Giveaway starts today and ends Aug.1.  I am using a new program this time, with the hope it will save me time collecting names at the end of the giveaway.  I’d love to hear from you about your experience – is it easy to use?  any glitches?

Hope everything is self-explanatory within the giveaway program below, but just in case it is not clear – there are several options for you to put in your entries, some worth 1 point, some 5 points.  There is only one option that is required for you to be eligible: answer the question.  If there is anything that is not clear to you, please leave a note to let me know.  I will try my best to help.

Hope you win!

This is a wonderful app–I actually purchased this about a month ago and both my 7-year-old twin boys and my 10-year-old daughter eagerly go to it when I make them go to the “educational games ” folder I’ve amassed on my iPad. It’s a great tool and while they’re having fun, they don’t even realize they’re learning. Another good one is “Presidents vs. Aliens” which helps them learn all about the presidents.

BTW–thanks for liking our post. Enjoying reading all your valuable tips!

Thanks for the comment! Yes both games are from the same developer. I like his games – kids learn while playing the game. What else can we ask for?

  • This app looks so neat! I will totally be entering. The boys love the Scrambled States of America game and are already more geographically aware than I am — my father always blamed it on a curriculum change when I was in school, but I think I’m just innately spatially challenged. 😉

BTW, thanks for stopping by Squirrel Circus!

It is one of the best apps I have reviewed. Glad you are participating… good luck!

Hi IGameMom, I only have furry kids, so am not a mum or trying to teach any kids. I come from Australia, where we only have 8 states/territories. This is easy to learn. Whenever I play trivia games or tv trivia shows I always fail badly at American states and capitals. a) I would be lucky to name even 10 of your states/capitals, as I can never remember which one is a state or capital. What a great app! Ive downloaded it, so maybe next time I play a trivia game, I will know my American states/capitals better.
I am also trying to get an App idea from my head to fruition at the moment, so find the fact that you create Apps even more interesting. Kat 🙂

Good for you! You are already doing better than me. I may need look up the states in Australia. 🙂 I wish there is an app for that.

      • Kat

No app for Australia because we dont have very many 🙂

  • I already have this app and am using it during homeschool time with my kids. I just wanted to add that this game is worth every penny and the kids bed to play it.

    • iGameMom

Yes, kids learn so much faster with this app, and they want to come back play more!

  • Just downloaded Stack the States lite, got addicted with my 8yo daughter, and got the full version and its parallel, Stack the Countries. Both are GREAT fun! I highly recommend them as a solid alternative to boring flash cards.

It is addictive, is it? We need more educational apps like this one.
