Bizzy Bear Builds a House

Bizzy Bear Builds a House

Bizzy Bear Builds a House app is based on the popular board book Bizzy Bear: Let’s Get to Work, featuring the illustrations by Benji Davies.  It is designed by Nosy Crow, who also developed Rounds: Franklin Frog.

The story is very simple.  Bizzy Bear helps out at a construction site with different activities.  On each page, there is a main storyline, read by a child.  The character dialogues are triggered by readers’ tap.  There are visual hints to tell the kids where they should tap.

There is an interactive activity on each page.  Kids can help drive the bulldozer, mix cement, dig holes, paint fences, and more.  The app is designed for kids age 2 to 4.  All the activities in the app are geared towards kids this age.Bizzy Bear Builds a House

If the kids want to read the app by themselves, they can choose “Read by Myself” option.  There will be no narration of the storyline or the dialogue, but the interactive activities are still there.

iGameMom Comments

Bizzy Bear Builds a House is a very engaging activity book for toddlers.  From the interactive activities, kids learn different types of work and machines used on a construction site.

Although reading is not a primary focus for kids of the targeted age, “word highlight” feature helps establish early connections between spoken and written words.

The app works on iPhone, iPod, and iPAD.  It is $3.99 on App Store.

If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store button provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage.  Thanks for your support! Note: The button works for all countries.

  • As a mother of a 2 year old girl, it’s important to me avoid the princess trap and expose her to a lot of different activities and interests. I think she’d have a blast with Bizzy Bear!

    • Like your way of thinking. We don’t want to raise our child to fit into stereotypes.
