App Went Free: Marble Math Junior

Marble Math Junior

Marble Math Junior is a fun math app for kids age 5 to 8.  It is FREE today for one day only.

After starting the app, kids collect numbers that can solve the math problem by rolling or dragging the marble through a series of mazes.  To reach the number they need, kids must avoid obstacles.  Along the way, they can collect prizes and win new marbles.  For early readers, the problem will be read aloud if the child taps the problem words at the top of the screen.

The math problems are based on the Common Core Curriculum, which means what the kids are practicing with this app are the same math skills they are learning at school.  There are three difficulty levels in the app. Users can select what skills they want to practice under each level, such as “1 to 10 addition” under Level 1, “1 to 100 sequencing” under Level 2, and “Multiplication to 100” under Level 3.

Math Concepts addressed by the App:Marble Math Junior
• shape recognition/matching
• sequencing number values and ordinals
• addition, subtraction and multiplication to 100
• identifying fractions
• counting money (USD, AUD, CAD, EUR or GBP)
• telling time
• completing addition equations

If you have more than one child, and you want to keep track of them separately, you can set up multiple users.  All you have to do is to tap the “change” button on the left-bottom corner of the screen.

iGameMom Comments:

Marble Math Jr is a fun math game kids will love to play.  The alignment with the Common Core Curriculum and the flexibility of choosing specific skills to practice on make it a good supplement to the regular school learning.

Marble Math Junior works on iPhone, iPod, and iPAD.  It is usually $1.99 on App Store.  For today only, it is FREE.

If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store button provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The button works for all countries.

I was excited to download this one for free, but perhaps that was a different day?? It tells me that it costs $5.49 to download. 🙁 For what it’s worth, I’m in Canada, but even with exchange, $5.49 is a long ways from $1.99 or free. Darn it!

  • My brother recommended I might like this web site.
He was entirely right. This post actually made my day.
You can not imagine simply how much time I had spent for this
    information! Thanks!

  • Hi, I think your website might be having browser compatibility issues.

When I look at your blog in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening
in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up!

    Other then that, great blog!

  • I think this is an excellent application for students, parents and teachers alike.
