FREE App: Turtle Trek from SeaWorld

SeaWorld Presents Turtle Trek App

Turtle Trek is the first mobile game created by SeaWorld!  It is designed for kids age 4 to 9.  Using fingers to guide the little turtle through the ocean – catch food and stars, meet friends, avoid predators, …  For each friend the turtle met, kids can learn some fun facts.  Do you know Triggerfish are bottom dwellers?

It is designed as a game.  The longer distance the kids can help the turtle swim, the more stars they collect, the more friend stickers they win.

It is a FREE game with In-App Purchase options.   It is said that a portion of all proceeds from in-app purchases go to the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund to benefit animals around the world!  However, they did not say how big of the portion will go to the fund.

Introduction on App Store:

Turtle Trek is a fun and free game download for your iPhone and iPad. Start your journey on the beach as a newborn sea turtle. As you grow up and swim the ocean, you’ll meet friends and learn fun facts about them. But beware – it’s not easy being a turtle. Dodge predators like sharks, sea gulls and the ferocious barracuda. Outfit your turtle with customized shells like the Rosebud or Hot Rod shell. Power-up with pendants and boosts. FREE App: Turtle Trek by SeaWorldSurvive long enough to meet all 21 friends, including Shamu®, to complete your sticker book!

iGameMom Comments:

The game is simple to play, but challenge enought to prevent the kids from winning all the 22 friend stickers at once.  I like it that kids can learn some fun facts about sea creatures along the game.  Kids do need be able to read to get the fun facts.  Kids who cannot read fluently will need parents’ help.

Kids can win all the 22 stickers without any In-App purchase.  If you would rather them have the facts right away, so they can have more opportunities to learn about the 22 sea creatures, you can buy the full version via In-App Purchase.  The cost for the full version is $2.99.

In addition to the 22 friend stickers, kids can also buy coins, which can buy in-app treats, such as different turtle shells.  It can end up costing a lot real money.  If you don’t want to see that happen, make sure disable In-App Purchase.  Click HERE for detailed instructions.

If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store button provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The button works for all countries.

Thank you! My grands love Franklin, so as they begin to read, this might interest them. Did the makers of Franklin Frog make any others?

Great to know! Both my kids love the ipad, and although I try to limit its usage, they sometime win over mom’s determination, so the struggle becomes to find games that are adapted for their age. Cut the rope is very popular in my house, but I look forward to your discovery. Thanks
