All kids like birthday parties. How can we incorporate learnings into the birthday party activities? Monki Birthday Party app gives us quite a few fun ideas. It is an app designed for toddler and preschool kids to learn numbers, words, colors, shapes, and other skills for kids this age.
There are 4 activities in the app, one is free. 
My favorite is the Piñata game.
Once kids touch the Pinata, they are asked to open it by tapping on a shape of a particular color, like the red heart. Upon touching the correct button, all goodies inside Pinata come out and kids are asked to feed the animal friends with the treats they like: “Billy the chick wants to have the square piece of cake”, “It is candy, and it is circle. Cali the cow wants to try it”. If kids send the correct food to the correct animal, they will hear “Em, yummy!” or “Delicious”. If kids send the wrong treat to the wrong animal, that animal moves around and won’t accept the food.
The Birthday Cake is a counting game.
Kids will see 3 cakes and are asked to pick a cake of their favorite. Then they are asked to put candles on the cake. Each time they put a candle on the cake, they will hear the corresponding number counted out loud for them. After they put 10 candles on the cake, they will sing the birthday song and help blow out the candles.
Birthday Hat is a size comparison game.
Kids will see two hats at a time, and be told the animal like a bigger or a smaller hat. Kids need pick the right hat for the animals.
Party Decoration is to learn shape and colors.
Kids pick different items of different colors to decorate the party.
The app is available in 4 languages: English, Spanish, Chinese, and Portuguese, which is a great feature for multilingual families.

I like that all activities have clear and simple verbal directions, and the directions are conversational, like “oh it is a circle, and a cake. Bill the bird would like to have the circle cake”. It provides a very friendly and relaxed learning environment for young children.
