Free App: Watch Nick Jr. Shows On the Go with Nick Jr. iPad App

Free App: Watch Nick Jr. Shows On the Go with Nick Jr. iPad App post image

There is a new Nick Jr. app for iPad and it’s free! This app provides commercial free viewings of Nick Jr. full episodes and short clips as well as fun games. I enjoy television apps because it allows us a way to take videos and TV on the go. No more worrying about CD’s and portable CD players when it’s all held within the device or through a quick online app. Also, when there is that one 5 minute scene your child just can’t get enough of, these types of apps are a great way for a child to watch that clip over and over and over. I know my son finds joy in repetitive watching. Children learn through repetition and although it drives me crazy, I know he is enjoying it and soaking in all the educational material that 5 minute clip has to offer. And there are also the full episodes to enjoy when he’s willing to hold still long enough to watch one.
Free app for kids to watch full episodes of Nick Jr shows with added gamesSomething I found unique to this app from other television show apps is its fun and user friendly interface. I really enjoyed how the menu is kid centered and provides a different way of finding shows than a typical list menu. Children can explore this app using the main screen which shows random buttons of all Nick Jr.’s shows, games, and letters of the alphabet.

At the top there are three additional options to use this app. You may select from a list of videos, by character photos, or to watch live TV. The live TV option does require a grownup to log in using their cable provider, but don’t worry, if you don’t have cable like I do there is still plenty of fun things this app has to offer. If you do have cable, simply log in with your television provider and many more shows and clips are unlocked for your child’s viewing pleasure.

The character photos option is labeled ‘friends’ and a great way for kids to quickly spot their favorite shows. My son’s favorite is Peppa Pig. The list of videos option is labeled ‘videos’ and has all the shows organized by name with the episode listed under the thumbnail. This option is great for parents to help their child locate that favorite character they keep talking about that you just aren’t able to recognize without their title written out.

Some of the games this app offers are letter and word recognition through animation, puzzles, shape matching, and dot to dot. All games featuring Nick Jr’s famous cast of characters. This app is sure to provide your child with tons of entertainment and enjoyment.

If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.
