ABC Galaxy is a new app that for kids to learn words by alphabet. Kids play games and learn letters and words start with that letter. It is a fun app for kids to expand gain and expand vocabulary. It is free to download with all the games for letters A to F free. To access to games for all letters, there is In-App Purchase.
When kids start the app, they see the galaxy with planets circling around. They will pick the planet that says ABC, as that is the one that is unlocked for them. They have to finish the ABC levels to unlock the following letters, DEF, then GHI, and so on. These are single person games. There are also two persons game, and the first several levels are unlocked upon downloading the app.
For the ABC games, to start, kids have to shoot rocks using the sling aiming at the letters or words called out. At the beginning, it is easy, just the 3 letters. The next round, there will be letters mixed with words that start with these three letters. If kids were able to finish all the shots within the time limit, they unlock more games, such as A Words, B Words, C Words.
As kids unlock more games, the difficulty level increases. It is not just the words, but also the game speed and aiming difficulty. At the beginning, there is no barrier between the sling and the target, gradually, there will be barrier rocks blocking the shot, so kids have to shoot the rocks to break the barriers before they can shoot the target.
Each time after kids shoot the target, the word will be repeated, and kids will see the word on the screen, which is a good reinforcement.
Overall, ABC Galaxy is a fun game helping kids learn vocabulary with letters. Given the skills required to make the shots, it is not for toddlers who just learn letters, it is more suitable for kindergarten and early elementary school kids to reinforce their letters, and learn and expand their vocabulary based on letters.
