Curious World is a new app launched two days ago. It is designed by the same team who developed Curious George’s Curious About Shapes and Colors. With over 20 fun activities, it is designed to encourage kids’ curiosity. It is free to download with one pack of activities free, and one additional pack for free for limited time. I love the app for the engaging activities. Even just for the free pack it is totally worth checking out if you have a preschool to kindergarten child.
There are currently 4 packs of activities in the app. The first one Light and shadows is free, and for limited time, the 2nd pack Dino Discovery is also free. Make sure download the 2nd pack after you download the app, as it is not going to be free for long. 
There are at least 5 activities in each pack. In the Light and Shadow pack, kids will:
1. watch a short video of Izzy and Mac making shadow images;
2. play with puzzles of various difficulties. Kids can also take a picture using the in-app camera, and make puzzles out of their own pictures.
3. read a story book about Izzy and Mac and shadow.
4. watch the special effects of different kaleidoscope patterns on pictures kids take themselves
5. create art works with stickers, including shadow stickers
6. play with shadows following the instructions provided. Kids will learn how to position their hands in front of a light to make a dog, a rabbit, a bird or a spider.
The activities in the Dino discovery are just as fun, and features Curious George. Kids will dig out dinosaur bones, and assemble them together; roar like a dinosaur and use a voice changer to pick the sound they like; read a dinosaur related book feature Curious George; and more.
Curious World is available on iPhone, iPod and iPad. It is free to download with one pack of activities free, and one additional pack for free for limited time.
