Wonderful Educational App for Kids about Human Body

My Incredible Body App

Human being’s body is amazing. There is so much we can learn about our body: the structure, the function, and most amazingly, how the many parts work together to support our daily life. Teaching kids about human body is complex, and I find it easier to have something visual – pictures and, ideally, videos. Additionally, it requires knowledge to explain the concepts right, yet still at kids level, so they understand. My Incredible Body is an educational app specially designed for school age kids to understand human body and its function.
Interactive 3D app for kids to learn human body anatomy, great visual to show human body systems with interesting facts. A good supplement for science class and homeschool.

I love the app for its nice pictures and videos, and its layered approach showing the anatomy.

When kids open the app, they can choose which system they want to explore first: digestive, respiratory, skeletal, urinary, sensory, muscular, or cardiovascular system. Under each system, they can explore the whole body or by parts of the body, like head. Either way, there will be animated visuals showing the structure and how things work. For example, on digestive system, kids will follow a piece of food go through mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestine, …

Kids can follow the guided tour, or manually control where they want to see. This is a nice feature, since there are always parts that some kids want to look at a little more.

All visuals are 3D. Kids can touch the picture and spin the object around to see it from any of the 360 angle.

On each part, kids can selectively add layers, muscle, bones, nerves, etc. This gives kids a good sense how different parts fit together.

There is a quiz for each section, where kids can find out how much they have learned and mastered.

Overall, My Incredible Body is a well designed educational app for school age kids, teaching kids about human body. If you are looking for learning materials on human body for your child, this is a great choice.

  • I’m unable to down load the app.

Can you maybe reword the heading since it is no longer free. It is misleading. The $4.99 cost isn’t that much, but it is misleading that the heading says free. Just my thoughts.

    • I changed for this. However I also want make sure you know it is logistically impossible for me to keep every post updated. All apps change over time, either app content, or price, sometimes even app names. I do my best to share what I know, but I would rather focus on sharing new apps and new ideas, instead of going back to old posts to update the price – as there are 1000 of them. Thanks for understanding! If you have followed iGameMom for a while, you probably can see we don’t share apps simply because they are free or on deal, we only share app deals if we feel they worth the full price. I believe most our readers can figure out on their own, just like you did. Again thanks for understanding and support!

It won’t let me download for free from the apple store.

    • Sorry you missed the free time. However, like I mentioned it is totally worth the money. We never review apps simply because they went free. We only post reviews on apps that we believe they worth the cost even when they are not on sale.
