Bean’s books are great beginner books and they are now available on the iPad and iPhone, and Android! This series of books was written by Sarah Hines Stephen. Originally released as board books, they are now available in ebook style. These books are geared toward 1 to 3 year olds and utilize simple words and phrases to tell a story. These eBooks come alive and allow your toddlers to explore the pages and learn new words. All books complete with playful music and soothing sounds. A great addition to any child’s early reading e-library. 
The main character in the first three books listed below is Bean, a black cat who loves playful adventures as well as living the easy life of sleeping during the day and venturing the house at night. You can choose to have the app read the words or simply flip through the book reading the words yourself. Each page is interactive and contains simple, colorful images.
Bean’s Baby: In this book kids are introduced to Bean and his various favorites around the house. Then kids get to meet Baby and experience Bean’s interaction with Baby.
Bean’s Night: In this book Bean naps during the day and explores the house at night. A story about running, hiding, playing, and exploring.
Bean’s Games: This book is about Bean playing games throughout the house: with a bag, a ball of string, and the messes that come along with play.
Not Without Bear: This book is offered in two languages: English and Spanish. This book differs that it is not about Bean and each page contains a sentence of words instead of the simple two word phrases found in Bean’s books. The main character in this story is a little girl named Audrey and her favorite stuffed animal: Bear. She wakes up after a fun day and can not find Bear. The pages come alive as you help Audrey search for her missing Bear by opening and closing doors and cabinets.
