Love of reading is the best gift parents can give to their children. The most important factors that are shown with positive effect of children’s reading ability are the availability of books at home and parents reading with kids. Now children are spending more and more time on digital devices, it is a good idea to have reading apps for kids on your smart phones and tablets. Digital books on mobile devices have many advantages. Mobility is one, carrying many different books in one place is another. Today we share one new reading app for young children that has children’s books from around the world, BulBul apps.
BulBul app is a collection of picture books for preschool kids and toddlers. It is a platform for book authors and illustrators to publish their books for children, and for readers to read the books on the go. It is a new app, so there are not many books as other book readers. But there are quite a few already, with about 15 of them being free.
Because it is the platform that encourage authors and illustrators to publish, you can find stories from around the world: Asia, Europe, Africa, and America.
When kids start the app, they will see a book shelf like most reader apps. On the shelf, books are grouped into categories: Adventure stories, Aesop Fables, Baby First books, Folk Tales, Grimm Brothers, Hans Christian Andersen Tales, Indian Mythology stories, and Princess Stories. Each category has 2 to 5 free books, and there are new books added to the book shelf all the time.
Some free titles in the app right now: The Three Little Pigs, Beggar and the Miser, Fisher Man and His Wife, The Seven Raven, The Red Shoes, The Nightingale, The Princess and the Pea, Math Time, Baby Likes Pasta.
Each book has kids friendly narration with background music and light interactive animation on each page. The animation is all just right to get the little ones giggle, but not too much to get their attention away from the story. Currently I don’t a setting to turn the narration off.
Overall BulBul app is a nice book app for young children. It is a place that kids can find books from all over the world.
