We recently discovered a new game app that is fun and addictive. It is designed by Alexey Pajitnov, author of the world famous Tetris game. Kids will learn spacial reasoning, logic thinking, and problem solving, while playing the fun game.
The game play is to line up same colored marble in one line – row, column or diagonal. You need at least 3 marbles in the line to make those marbles disappear from the board. Your goal is to take all the marbles off the board. You get bonus scores if you do it in the order of alternate colors, say you line up 3 green marbles this time, for the next move, if you line up a different color, you not only get the points for taking those marbles off, but also bonus points for the marbles being a color different from green.
We played with the free version so far. In free version, you earn coins by winning the games. You can use the coins to buy Hints or chance of undo some steps. Higher levels will be unlocked when you earn certain number of coins or solve daily challenges. If you run out of coins and still need more for some reasons, like need a hint, you can buy more coins via In-App Purchase. So far we have not needed to buy any coins.
There is a paid version, where you don’t need buy any coins, ie., you can always ask for hints or undo a step. In the paid version, there are more challenges and patterned marbles.
Marbly is a fun game for kids. Like I mentioned early, it is great for spacial thinking and problem solving.
I prefer the free version. It gives us some pressure that we have to solve the puzzles on our own and we have to be careful not to use hints often. It pushes us work hard and try hard.
To see the app in motion, check out the YouTube video on iGameMom channel: Marbly App.
If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.
