ABCmouse.com released another free app: 26 A-Z Music Videos. It is a companion app for their newly released music album The Letter Songs A to Z.
In the album, there are 26 original letter songs helping children learn the names and sounds of the letters, and corresponding vocabulary. Each letter song is produced and arranged in a different musical style to introduce children to a wide variety of musical genres, including folk, pop, R&B, big band, country, rock, tango, disco, hip hop, and more. This wide variety of genres makes The Letter Songs A to Z album entertaining for parents and children alike.
All songs are very catchy and fun. Each song includes over 20 words starting with the letter. “Alan ate an apple, and awesome it did taste; Ava ate an apricot, and not a bite did waster….” For sample songs, you can visit the sample song page.
The app comes with 3 free songs, with enough virtual tickets to download two more songs immediately. Kids earn tickets by listening to the songs. The more the kids listen to the songs, the more tickets they have. They can then use the earned tickets to unlock more songs. In theory, kids can unlock all 26 songs by listening to the songs they have. If they don’t want to wait, they can buy the tickets via In-App purchase. It is $0.99 for 100 tickets, which can unlock 2 songs; $4.99 for 1050 tickets, which is enough to unlock the rest 21 songs.
Also included in the app are lyrics for all the songs that is unlocked; glossary for all the letters, including those for letters that the songs are still unlocked. In the glossary, if kids tap on the little speaker next to the word, they will hear the word read aloud to them followed by a simple explanation of the word. The Parent Tips section offers some tips on how to use the app.
26 A-Z Music Video is available for iPhone, iPod, and iPAD. It is FREE on App Store. The music album The Letter Songs A to Z is available on iTunes, $9.99 for the whole album, or $0.99 for each single song.

I’ve been so busy exploring sproutonline and Babytv, I haven’t made it over the abcmouse.com but I see their commercial everyday on Sprout. It’s definitely a site I look forward to exploring with my baby. She loves anything relating to the ABCs, so your post reminds me to get some apps that will work with the Kindle.
