Who doesn’t like playful learning ideas? Animal Planet Hide and Seek Pets is a fun learning app for kids around preschool age (3 to 6). Kids learn about animals, letters, practice observation, memory and fine motor skills, all through animal themed fun games. It is free today.
When kids open the app, they are asked to spin the wheel for a hamster. The hamster will pick one of the 6 mystery animals for kids to play with. First kids have to guess what the animal is from the clue. Can you guess what animal is this? “I have floppy ears, I nibble on carrots and I love to hop”. Kids will have to finish the required activity on the screen to reveal the animal. All the activities are fun and just right for the preschool age kids, like guiding a flashlight on the dark screen to spot the animal. 
Once kids reveal the animal, they have 4 games to play with the animal: Puzzle; Letter tracing; Matching game; and Spot the difference. All games has two levels to suite a broader age range or skill levels.
Make sure tab on some objects on the open screen for each animal. Each time kids tab on the screen, a fun fact about the animal will show up. Do you know that “Cats have an excellent memory. Once cats experience something, they remember it for life”?
If kids tab on the little pawl on the top left corner of the screen, they will open up another set of activity menu:
Paint: coloring pages of the animals
Music: play with the animal piano
Sticker: create arts with many stickers included in the app.
Learn: a place parents can find information on how the app is linked to common core and some interesting questions to talk with the kids.
Options: parents can help kids choose setting options on background music, sound, and voice.
