Today’s post focuses on learning activities for kids. First we are going to introduce an app for toddlers, then we will look at the learning activities shared at last week’s Mom’s library. There were so many interesting activities shared last week, it was hard to pick which one to feature. Finally I decided on an article with 35 gross motor activities, bug and butterfly learning, and how to use chalkboard in everyday learning.
The app I want to share today is Jellytoons Toddler Skills: Bobo’s Birthday Challenge. It is Bobo’s birthday. The monsters are getting ready for the celebration. Each monster is performing one pre-party activity, which is a fun learning game. There are a total of 6 toddler activities in the app to help kids learn colors, shapes, numbers 1 through 10, observing, and logic thinking. All the games are short to fit toddlers’ attention span. The pictures in the app are bright with fun animations. The music is joyful. After each game, there is a little reward sticker for the kids to collect. There is a parent board with reports tracking kids’ performance.
Overall Jellytoons Toddler Skills: Bobo’s Birthday Challenge is a fun learning app for toddlers. There is one thing I did NOT like – every time when you open the app, the first thing pops up is an ad for another app. Although that app is free, it is too confusing for little ones not to tap on it. If you are going to use this app, make sure, after your start the app, wait for a while and click off the ad, then hand it over to the little ones. The good news is once you click off the ad, it will not appear again until you re-start the app.
Jellytoons Toddler Skills: Bobo’s Birthday Challenge is available on iPAD only. It is $0.99 on App Store.
If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.
Today I want to focus on creative learning activities for kids. From last week’s Mom’s Library, I found this article with 35 learning activites that also train kids’ gross motor skills. Take a look at the picture below, you can get a rough idea of the fun you are going to have from the collection of the great ideas.
Spring is coming, kids will be playing outside more. One fun thing to do of course is to play with little bugs. How to expand children’s love of bugs into other subjects? Bugs and Butterflies Activity Pack will give you splenty of ideas with printables for purchase.
Lastly, check out ideas on how to use a family chalkboard to help kids build language skills.
