On-the-go Kids Learning Activities from The Wheels on the Bus

The Wheels On The Bus

I don’t know why we have not reviewed The Wheels on The Bus yet. But with the summer season, especially many travels going on, this is a great collection of on-the-go kids learning activities in one app.

We all know young children have short attention span. When you feel that you are just warming up on one activity, your toddler’s attention shifts to something different. For young kids, you need an array of activity ideas that are easy to move from one to the other. This gets harder when you are traveling or simply are outside of home. On the go kids learning activities - Wheels on the bus app

The Wheels on The Bus app is a collection of on-the-go learning activities for kids age 2 to 6. There are 10 activity sets in the app. The first 2 of each activity set are free.

Tap the car: kids are told to tap on a specific type of vehicle, like fire truck, garbage truck, caravan. Requests are written at the top of the screen, and are asked vocally, so young kids play.

Tiny Train: learn different parts of the training. Full version has voice, free version doesn’t.

Coloring Book: choose among many different vehicle pictures and color the picture, learn the vehicle’s name.  Free version has two vehicles to color.

Sing Along: can you imagine how many times kids sing the song and each time doing something different? With the interactive animations, kids will see it again and again.

Happy Math: 5 preschool math games and 2 are free. Kids learn numbers and simple math.

Racing Track:  Kids race cars against others.  It is fun to watch your own car racing against other cars.

Car Puzzle: 12 unique vehicle puzzles. When kids finish a puzzle, they hear the vehicle name and see it written out on the screen.

Horn Piano: 5 sets of horns, each sounds like one type of vehicle, boat, truck, bettle car, train, or sedan. It is a great way for kids to learn different sound qualities.

Memory Cars: memory match game of different cars.

Bus Ride: kids drive the bus, pick up passengers, and avoid road barriers. It is a great hand-eye practice.

The Wheels on The Bus have two versions on iTunes App Store: free version and full version. Both are available on iPhone, iPod and iPad. The full version is $3.99. It is also available for Android on Amazon and Google Play, both are free with In-App Purchase options.
