App that Helps Track The Whole Family’s Schedule

Cozi Family organizer Free App

Being busy parents is not an easy job.  Today I am introducing an app that helps parents keep track the whole family’s busy schedule.  In Mom’s Library, you will find featured articles on recharging yourself.

We all know how crazy it could be when managing family schedules – each kid has his/her own activities, parents have their work and social events, it gets worse if you have to coordinate schedules with relatives, grandparents, friends, … In addition to schedules, as parents, we have so many other things to manage – grocery shopping, house maintenance, birthdays, … How do you keep track of all these and stay on top of everything?  I have been using Evernote, it is been great in helping me keep track of everything, all in one place.  Today I found another app that is also a good one: Cozi.  It is a FREE app.

What I like about Cozi is the color coding for each family member.  It lets you enter an event and then choose who is involved, who will receive reminders.  Each person is color coded, making it easy to see who is in each event or activity.

You can also create a to-do list or a shopping list.  A nice feature is you can make a list entry as a heading for other list items.  For example, you Cozi Family Organizer Appcan make “school project” as a heading, and “card board”, “paint”, “glue” as items under “school project”.

Cozi also has a website.  You can login to your account, where you can plan meals.  A neat feature about meal planning, those materials in the recipe will be entered into your shopping list automatically.

One thing I don’t like about Cozi is I can’t label or tag an entry.  In Evernote, I can tag an entry with a keyword that is easy to remember, and can be searched later on.  Cozi doesn’t have the function.

Note from Erindipity – it is nice you can enter the events and other information on your computer via website, since it will automatically sync with your mobile device.  It is a lot easier to type on a keyboard than working on the touch pad on our mobile device.

iGameMom Comments:

Overall Cosi is a great app helping family stay organized.  It is especially good for families of more than one child.  Cozi’s note function is not as good as Evernote, yet is still a good easy tool to keep the whole family stay on track.

Cozi works on iPhone, iPod and iPAD.  It is FREE on App Store.

If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.

This is such a great site. I forwarded your URL to three busy moms with small children and older children who are also busy.

  • This is a good point Erindipity I am going to update my post with your input (with link to your site). Let me know if you don’t want me link it.

  • What I like about Cozi is that I can enter everything on the website, via my computer keyboard, but access it via my phone whenever. I really hate trying to enter in lists and appts. from my phone. Not a good texter. So it’s very helpful to have the option to do all that on my computer keyboard. Some other clunkiness to Cozi here and there, but overall very cool.
