Play and Learn with Wallace is a learning app series designed for preschool kids. It combines educational games and interactive play to engage preschoolers in a fun learning environment. It is a shell app, holds all the apps coming into the series. It is free to download, with sample questions from each individual app to play with. There are currently 4 apps are available, each has 6 games. The 4 apps are:
My first app: Kids learn simple words, numbers, patterns, and sizes. The 6 games are: Counting Ducks, Animal Sounds, Odd One Out, On Safari, Match the Pairs and Color It.
Picture Puzzles: through play, kids will develop creative skills, visual sense, and spatial awareness. The six games in this app are: Follow the Lines, Matching Twins, Noisy Zoo, Shadow Shapes, Spot the Dot and Puzzle Pieces.
Counting Fun: focus on numbers. Kids learn to count different objects, from dots on cards to motorcycles on the street. The six games in this app: Animal Counting, Touch the Number, Counting Fruit, Toy Shelf, Matching Pairs and Counting Vehicles.
First spelling: The games in this app include: Letter Match, Guess the Sound, Matching First Sounds, Missing Letters, Odd Word Out and Spell the Word. While playing the games, kids answer questions like “touch the word that doesn’t start with A”, “move the letters to spell BAG”.
The app is very easy to navigate, the interface is intuitive, so kids can follow without much help from adults.
There are some nice features in this app. There is a nice rewarding system, kids earn stars after each game. Parents can create a profile for each child to keep track of their progress. With the tracking system, parents or educators can easily identify strength and weakness of each child. Once two or more apps are purchased, kids can use Super Shuffle. It is the place kids can play games from all the apps that are purchased. You have to have purchased at least 2 apps to activate this one.
Play and Learn with Wallace works on iPhone, iPod, and iPAD. It is free to downlaod with plenty free sample questions from each app. The full individual apps can be purchased via In-App Purchase. Each app is $0.99.
If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.

I love the books from Usborne! I have to preface this by saying I am an Educational Consultant with them. BUT – I joined for the discount and then found out I could make a difference in other children’s lives, not just my own! With books like Jonathan James & the Whatif Monster and the newest Bob is a Unicorn, you can’t go wrong! These are 2 of my favorite books because they teach children to be afraid to dream BIG and be who they are! A ton of their books are internet linked! I have gotten board books for my toddler (from when he was an infant), chapter books for my 11 year old daughter and encyclopedia type books for research for my teen! We have a whole library now!! 🙂
