Hide and Seek Vocabulary Game for Toddlers post image

Helping young children learn animal names is always fun. I still remember when my son was 2 or 3, we started showing him the pictures and saying to him “this is a cow”, “this is a cat”. When I saw this new app teaching toddlers and preschoolers animal names with a hide and seek game, I was reminded the fun years when we were doing similar things with my child using picture books and cards, except this app help kids learn via a fun vocabulary game.
Fun vocabulary game for toddlers and preschoolers, kids play hide and seek and learn animal names. Simple and interactive, just right the young age. Try farm animal set for free.
Since almost everything in our life is digitized nowadays, why not use a digital game teaching kids about animals?

The app is very simple. When kids start the app, they are presented with a farm picture with a barn, a fence, a garden, and many other objects you typically see in a farm. Kids are asked to play a hide-and-seek game. After counting from 1 to 10, the game starts.

Kids are asked “Can you find the cow?” At this point, kids can start looking and try to move objects on the screen to see if the cow is hiding behind. If not, they need keep looking. If yes, the cow is put behind a fence, and the next round for a different animal begins.

There are 8 animals to be found in each game. When all 8 animals are behind the fence, it is time to start a new game.

The game is very easy. Some animals are completely behind the objects, some are partially visible. When kids are asked to find an animal, they see the animal picture on the screen while they hear the question spoke to them. Every time before a new game starts, it is always counted to 10 when the screen showing eyes closing, then the 1 to 10 numbers with a star background. It is a good opportunity for kids to practice counting.

Currently there are two sections in the app, farm animals and sea animals. Farm animal is free with download. Sea animal can be added via In App Purchase for 99 cents. The developer has plans to add more animal packages into the app.

This is an easy and fun game for kids who just start to learn animal names. With the first package free, why not give a try. It makes travel and waiting at the restaurant a little easier and fun with the little ones.
