Math Fact Practice App for Elementary Kids

Timed Test Arcade

Today I have a math app called Timed Test Arcade.  It is a math practice app for Grade K to 5.  I like it because it gives users lot flexibility in choosing what they want to practice on and at what level.

Timed Test Arcade has practices for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  Kids can choose which of the 4 types of problem they want to practice on.  In addition, kids can decide the difficulty levels by choose the number range to practice on.  They can choose to practice multiplications for numbers between 5 to 10, or they can choose a fixed number, say multiplications of number 5.  They can decide how many questions they want to practice in one session, and within how many minutes they want to finish the session. As you can see this gives the users a lot of flexibility, and make this app fits a large range of grade levels.

There are two arcade games in the app.  Kids have to earn tokens to play the game.  The only way to earn tokens is to do the 100 problem Timed Test Arcade Apppractice.

Some additional features:
– Instant Feedback: help kids recognize incorrect answers and correct them as they go
– Multiple User Accounts: have the ability to support multiple children and track their test activities on one mobile device
– Automatic grading: save parents and teachers valuable time
– Past test result reports: keep track kids progress

Timed Test Arcade has two versions, one for iPAD, one for iPhone/iPod. Both are $1.99 on App Store.

  • The link goes to a different game. This looks exactly like what I was looking for to use with my kids for math facts practice.

    • Audria, thanks for letting me know about the link. Now it is updated.
