The Bingo Song – Interactive Sing Along Music App

Bingo Song HD

The Bingo song is a well known classic children’s song. The Bingo Song HD app brings this song to life for kids to interact with, sing along to, as well as fun animal flash cards that helps make learning farm animals fun. This app can help children recognize the names and sounds of animals, various colors and characteristics found in the game, and it lets the child express themselves with a sing-a-long karaoke option to the Bingo Song. This app also encourages clapping and stomping, which is great for gross motor development.

The first feature is the Bingo song its-self. If you have heard the song before it is very repetitive, which is great for children, it’s how they learn. This helps them to memorize the song and letter recognition since the song involves spelling out the dog’s name: Bingo. While the app is singing the song it encourages kids to clap or stomp along. On a few of the song’s pages it allows children to push the dog and hear a bark or add stars in the sky. All in the all the song runs for two and a half minutes.

The second feature is the karaoke option, allowing you or your child to sing-a-long with the song and record your singing to play back.Bingo Song HD app

The third feature to this app is the flash cards. There are sixteen cards with farm animals and farm equipment on them. On the back of the cards is a list of questions relating to the card; some sample questions include, “what animal is this?” “what sound does this animal make?” “What letter does the word ‘barn’ start with?”. Since the questions are on the back it’s a little hard to read them while looking at the card. So there is a record feature, you can record yourself asking the questions, flip the card back over, and press play to have the questions read back to you as your child is looking at the flashcard. There are many ways to go with this, if your child wanted to answer your questions as you flip the card back and forth you can continue recording that way as well. The flash cards enable you and your child to get creative and use your imagination. You could use the record feature to record a story about the animals or even just make animal sounds with each card and play that back. When your child hears their voice played back to them it allows them a chance to improve their verbal proficiency and encourages active participation.

Daisy’s Comments:

I enjoyed this app and feel that it is a good app for toddlers, preschoolers, and even some young school age children. My active 16 month old, who normally gets uninterested within 15 seconds, was able to sit through the whole song and enjoyed watching the animation on screen. He also enjoyed flipping through the cards and making the animal sounds. I can see us using this app as he gets older to talk about more details found in the farm cards and for him to participate more in the karaoke option.
