Wombi Toy is a game app for kids 3 to 6 years old. The setting of the game is a toy assembly line operated by a robot. Each time the Kids pull the lever to start the conveyor belt, they will get a broken toy. The kids’ job is to figure out what is wrong with the toy and fix the toy. There are about 20 different toys. Each toy’s fix is considered a mini-game. It could be painting the letters on the blocks, filling the water gun with water, or putting batteries into the flashlight.
What kids learn:
Kids learn problem solving. Some toys’ fix is not straight forward. Kids have to figure out what is wrong first. To fix the toys, kids have to move some pieces around. These require some motor skills to have all parts at the right positions.
I like the game because it requires active thinking. My only wish is there are more toys in the app.
To celebrate the holiday season, Wombi launched a FREE holiday version of the app. In this FREE app, kids will fix Christmas trees, or a Gingerbread man. There are 5 toys in this free app.
Both Wombi Toy and Wombi Christmas Toy are available on iPhone, iPod, and iPAD. Wombi Toy is $2.99 on App Store, Wombi Christmas Toys is FREE.
