Free App: Daily Math Questions with Bedtime Math

Bedtime Math

Many parents read to kids before they go to bed. But what about math? How about a math problem every day before bed? Today we’d like to introduce a website and an app – Bedtime Math. As stated on their website, Bedtime Math is to help kids love math the way they love playtime or dessert. Have kids dread of math? Try Bedtime Math. They may start loving math.

What is Bedtime Math? It is a website that gives a math problem a day. Most of the problems are for kids in preschool to early elementary school. Every day, there is a theme, and there will be 3 math problems, each for a different age group. Free daily math questions for kids

All problems are word problems. The themes are subjects kids like and familiar. For example, one day’s theme is ice cream truck. It starts with brief introduction of ice cream truck, what it is, what does it do, when and who invented ice cream truck. After the introduction are 3 math problems, one for each of the 3 different age groups.

I like how they give 3 different math problems for kids of different ages, and all three problems are based on one theme. It makes it possible for siblings to do it together. The 3 levels of math problems are: Wee Ones for preschool kids; Little Kids for grade K to 2; Big Kids for kids grade 2 and up.  Going back to the ice cream truck example, for Wee Ones, they are told of several ice cream flavors, and they have to count how many flavors in total; for Little Kids, they need figure out the total blocks the truck travels every day; for Big Kids, they need figure out the profit the truck can make based on the cost and the number of ice cream sold.

The website is free. Bedtime Math also has a free app with the same daily math problems. The app is available for free on Apple App Store and Google Play. If you prefer print book, there are currently two books in the series. The same books are available on Kindle too. I have to say, the images are more kids friendly in the books. On the web and in the app, the images are mostly realistic pictures of the subjects of the theme. You can find the books following the Amazon links below.

If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.
