Play and Learn Math with Gozoa

Whether we like it or not kids love gaming apps. Thankfully the creators of Gozoa have found a prefect balance between fun and learning with Gozoa Play and Learn Math.

Gozoa (a little blue critter) needs the help of your 4-6 year old! A sneaky villain with a cute vacuum cleaner has taken all the star numbers from Gozoa’s village. The only way to get them back is to follow the map of Math challenges and collect gold coins. The storyline continues throughout the game. The little villain pops up at the end of each level, so you can take back a star number from him.

When a player has collected all the coins in a  level a virtual certificate will appear on the map and the next level is unlocked. At any point, during your game, you can return to past levels.  This allows the player to practice the skill and increase their score. Coins can also be used in a virtual shop found on the map. Here you can trade you coins for items to dress up Gozoa and his friends.

A lot of hard work has clearly gone into making this app. There are so many Math skills covered in a fun way. The very clear visual and auditory instructions allowed my preschooler to master the game play fairly quickly. I really liked the flash back feel to the 90s platform games like Sonic the hedgehog. The graphics are some of the best I have seen in a kids app!
