Magikid Train – Colors, Shapes, and Puzzles

Magickid Train

Magikid Train app is a matching puzzle game targeted toward 5-8 year olds. Puzzles are great for child development as it helps them recognize patterns, stimulates cognitive development, and teaches color and shape recognition.

There is also a free version of this app, which I like because I can check out the free version before buying it to make sure I like it or not. If you do like it, I highly recommend purchasing the full version as it has many more levels and puzzles available. The free version only offers two categories: single color matching and multi-color matching. The full version has 10 categories and more are being added soon. Anything from color/shape matching and object association, to pattern completion in many different forms. Each category has a number of levels totaling up to 80 levels! Each level has a three star rating scale.

Although matching and patterns can seem like a magikid train app - colors shapes puzzlessimple concept, this app actually puts a spin on it that makes it a little challenging. The graphics are appealing to toddlers, but the concept can be rather difficult and best suited for early elementary kids. The player needs to drag the correct color/shape/object onto a moving train-car before the timer runs out. There is a setting’s control that allows you to select the speed of the train from slow, normal, or fast. Even at the slowest speed the train still moves along pretty steady and if you miss it then you have to wait for it to come back onto the screen. It also offers two different language options: English and Chinese.

Daisy’s Comments

I think this would be a great education tool for early elementary kids and will challenge their mind. There are so many levels and categories that I feel it is worth the money paid for the app. I like knowing that while having fun my child will be learning and building on his cognitive skills.

Magikid Train is available on iPhone, iPod, and iPAD. It is $2.99 on App Store.

If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.
