Love You Back is a beautiful picture book for kids of all ages. Based on the 2011 print book of the same title, Love You Back tells love stories between two generations – a girl and her grandma.
“Grandma, remember the time, when you held me close, kissed my cheeks, and whispered I love you? Now let me hold you close, hug you tight, and say to you, I love you back”. 
For those who have the opportunity to enjoy the love of a grandparent during their childhood, it will bring back so many fond memories. I did not grow up with a grandparent, but my son is. The bond between grandparents and kids are so special that you would do anything to make it last longer. We know it will not last forever, grandparents will grow older while kids growing up. This story captures the deep emotion of the changing dynamic of the relationship with seemingly trivia things a typical grandma will do with a grandchild. But aren’t all our relationships are reflected in these small things?
I love the music accompanied the story. The illustrations are bright and lovely. Kids can have the story read to them, told in a voice of a growing-up girl. Kids can also turn off the narration to read the book by themselves. They can also record their own voice reading the book. It will be a wonderful gift idea for the grandparent or the kids, and they can read the book together.
There are no interactions on any pages of the app. If you are looking for interactive storybooks, this is not for you.
Love You Back is available for iPhone, iPod and iPad as separate apps. Both versions are usually $0.99 on App Store, and are free for limited time. The book is also available as a Kindle book, in addition to apps. If you prefer a print book, it is available on Amazon.
