Earth 101 for iPAD is a beautiful 3D model of the entire earth, with tons of geographic features and landmark information.
Upon opening the app, kids will see the globe. Spinning the globe, kids can visit different areas on the earth. Tapping on any place brings up information of the area or the feature, such as the Atlantic Ocean, the London Eye. The information available depends on the zoom level. When you zoom in, you can see more features and landmarks, and you can retrieve more detailed information. The navigation through the app is simple and smooth.
The app includes more than 1100 geographic objects and 250 wonders of the world. Kids can choose to overlay weather information to see the current temperature of each area while spinning the globe. Kids can also choose to see the globe with country border or without.
It is a great learning tool for kids to learn global geography and to explore the world in a fun way.
Most information doesn’t require internet connection, except the weather and additional detailed information on some features that links to Wikipedia.
