I love apps that allow kids to play freely and spark imagination. It is even better if the app also provides tools for teaching. Imagination Box is an app just like that, and it is free for limited time.
When kids start the app, they will see canvas of different colors. They can pick any canvas to start. If they have already used the app, instead of empty canvases, kids will see their latest creations shown on the canvases.
Once kids selected a canvas, they will be presented different tools on the right side of the screen: play dough in different shapes, pens of different colors. Kids can choose different colors for each piece of the play dough, they can also change the size of the play dough pieces, or rotate the play dough. If they change their mind, they can tap on the arrow at the top of the screen pointing to the left to un-do the last steps.
Kids can import pictures from the device camera roll. They can draw and write on the canvas with different colors. This would be a wonderful way to make a greeting card with your own picture and customized messages.
I like the built in letter and number shaped play dough pieces. Parents can use it as a tool to teach alphabet and numbers, and even some simple addition and subtraction.
The background music is soothing, yet stimulating at the same time. It makes you feel liking to sit down and create something.
Imagination Box is a simple app that parents can find many uses for their kids. Kids can draw pictures, design play dough models, create greeting card with their own pictures, write simple words, learn letters and numbers, shapes and colors, and spelling and simple math, … The possibility is endless.
