Max on the farm is a fun app designed for kids age 3 to 6. There are 4 farm themed educational games in the app, all games have no timers, no scores, kids just play at their own pace. The lite version has plenty contents for you to test it out. The full version has more levels than the lite version.
The 4 games in the app are:
Find the items: Max made a big mess in his treehouse. Help him to find the items he looks for. This mini game helps to improve auditory processing and visual discrimination skills. As the game progress, kids are asked to find more items in each round, and the visible part of each item gets smaller. 
Patterns: Fill out the gaps in the patterns. Understanding and mastering patterns are the building blocks for reasoning and problem-solving skills that prepare children for understanding early math concepts. The game starts with missing piece at the end of the pattern, to missing pieces in the middle of the pattern, or at the beginning of the pattern. The number of items in the pattern increases as well.
Matching: Help Max’s father by moving the proper boxes to the truck. Identifying features of a given picture and finding an exact match facilitates logical reasoning and problem solving. The matching pictures starts with fruits and vegetables, to some abstract pictures.
Puzzle: Solve puzzles (4-6 pieces). It helps to practice fine motor skills and help to develop the understanding of spatial concepts. The number of puzzle pieces increases when kids move up levels.
After each round of games, kids get to choose a farm animal sticker to add to their collection.

The game is very intuitive. Kids can play the games independently. However, it also provides many opportunities for parents to interact with the kids. Since there is no verbal instruction or reading in the app, parents can call out the item names when kids are playing. For example, parents can say “Looks like you need find the blue hat. Where is the blue hat?” or “How many pieces in this puzzle?” and then help the kids count.
Overall Mar On The Farm is a fun farm themed educational app for preschool kids. With the non-competitive play, pleasant music and bright pictures, kids will have a good time with this app.
