Playing games, especially well designed games can benefit children in many ways. When I look for games for my child, I look for challenges and fun. Oink Oink – My Crazy Farm is just an app like that. It is easy to understand how to play the game, it is fun to chase the animal around, and it is challenging to find solutions to win the game.
The game play is simple: the animals on the farm are running loose. Players must fence in the animals to where they should be.
At the beginning, kids just need fence in one pig. Gradually, there will be more, not only in numbers, but also in variety. You can’t put pigs and cows in the same fence. These involve strategies separating different animals while everyone is running wildly.
As the game progress, kids will see jumping tire, that makes animals bouncing all over the places if they run into it; springboard, that will shoot the animals across the fence; barn gate that sucks the animals into the barn.
The goal is to fence all the animals into their own home as fast as possible. You earn stars for being fast without hitting any animals during the fence building process. You lose a star for each time hitting an animal. You have to have enough stars to unlock next world.
Currently there are 3 worlds, and each world has over 20 levels. All are getting progressively more difficult, more complicated, and more challenging. Kids need think about where to add a fence line so the animals will run into the direction they need to, when to add the fence line to avoid hitting animals, where they can direct the animals when they can’t put them into the designated fence area at the beginning, …
Overall, Oink Oink – My Crazy Farm is a fun game for the whole family to play. It is in fact quite addictive. It is available for iPhone, iPod and iPad, and Android.
