Are you planning to take airplane travel soon? How do you help your kids to prepare for the travel? How do you explain the security check at the airport? How about the waiting for luggage after landing? Today I am going to share an app that will teach kids all about air travel: Smart Fish: Frequent Flyer.
The game starts by asking kids pick a place they want to go: Paris, Moscow, London, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, … There are 13 cities around the world for choices. Next kids will pack the suitcase. They will be told the weather at the cities, and be reminded for weather appropriate clothes. After driving to airport, kids will help several passengers to go through the security check – taking off jackets and shoes, putting personal items on the conveyor belt to go through the x-ray machine, walking through the metal detector, then gathering all the personal stuff, putting on jacket and shoes.
Next kids will be on the airplane. They will learn to open the overhead compartment, put carry-on luggage in it, find the seat for each passenger based on the seat number on the ticket, and buckle the seat belt for everyone.
After the plane lands, kids will help passengers find their luggage by playing a matching game. At last, kids get to write a postcard from the destination with a famous landmark on the card.
iGameMom Comments:
Designed for kids age 3 to 7, Smart Fish: Frequent Flyer is a very helpful visual tool teaching kids about travelling with airplane. It is simple, yet very informative. It does a great job teaching kids how to prepare for the travel, what to expect at the airport, and what to do on the airplane. If you plan to travel by air, I highly recommend this app.
Smart Fish: Frequent Flyer works on iPhone, iPod, and iPAD. It is $2.99 on App Store.
If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.
Off to download this as my son is obsessed with planes.
