Nursery rhymes are great for children’s language learning, as well as memory, physical, and emotional development. Young children all like nursery rhyme songs. It is a great way to start kids on literacy. There are quite a few nursery rhyme apps for young children. Today we are introducing HooplaKidz Nursery Rhyme Activities. It is different in a way that in addition to playing nursery rhyme songs, it has learning activities built upon those nursery rhymes.
Currently, the app has 20 songs. The developers are working on adding more.
Ten Green Bottles
Incy Wincy Spider
Ice Cream Song
Wheels On The Bus
Row Row Row Your Boat
Pop Goes The Weasel
Once I Caught A Fish Alive
Five Little Monkeys
Baa Baa Black Sheep
One, Two, Buckle My Shoe
Jack and Jill
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I’m a Little Teapot
Hickory Dickory Dock
For each song, there is an interactive activity. For Ten Green Bottles, it is picking the matching bottles that have labels of the same color and number. For the Wheels on the Bus, it is a puzzle game that kids pick the matching shapes to put on the picture of the school bus. For Ice Scream song, it is to identify the differences between two pictures. For ABC song, kids are asked to tap on certain letters. For Incy Wincy Spider, kids will connect several pieces of different shapes to put together a working pipe for the spider to climb on.
Of course, kids can also choose just listening to the songs without doing any activities. All they need do is to click on the music button at the top right corner of the screen.
All activities are interactive, and are appropriate for kids at preschool age. For games and activities, there are no penalties if kids did it wrong. Kids can try as many times as needed or as they want to, and they can take as much time as they need.
There are two versions of the app. The lite version is free, so you can try it out before paying the full price. Below the first app store link is for full version, the second is Lite version.
