Timeline 3D is a very neat app letting you create and present a multimedia timeline of any event on your iPhone or iPad. It is usually $10 on App Store. It is now FREE for limited time. What a great mother’s day gift. You can take pictures and videos of family gathering, and make it into a timeline and watch it as a family once it is done. If you have read How to share iPhone and iPad screen on computer, you will be able to watch it together on bigger screen.
Creating the timeline is super easy. Tapping on the little plus sign at the left lower corner of the screen, you can start a new timeline. Once you are in that particular timeline project, tab on the little plus sign at the same location will start adding slides in the project. You can add photo, video, put a title for that slide, and start and end time too. You can also add notes for each slide. If you have a website that is related to the event, you can link that too. If you have linked a website, when you click on the media file when presenting, it will lead the audience to the linked website. When you finish a slide, you can then add another one. The slides will be automatically organized by the time you put in.
At any time, if you tab on the play button next to the plus sign, you can have the presentation of the timeline. The presentation is a unique 3D experience. While the whole timeline stay behind, the presented page swirls smoothly out of the line and zooms in for a clear view. You will see the slide’s title, media, and notes all on one slide. if you tab on the little eye icon at the bottom right corner, you can see the media file in full screen. If you link the media to a website, tab on the media, you will see the website that is linked with it.
You can move between slides by simply swiping left or right to move forward or backward along the timeline.
If you prefer, you can export the final timeline into PowerPoint or Keynote. However, you can easily share it as it is on any screen. For instructions, visit How to share iPhone and iPad screen on computer.
I see this as an easy alternative for family photo albums. It is also a good tool for school or business projects, no matter it is for record keeping or presenting.
