When kids open the app, they will see 12 little circles with bright pictures. Tapping on each little circle leads to a short poem. Each poem is just 2-4 sentences long. Here is one about a little kitty: “Hello, little kitty, whiskers so pretty, tiny little claws and silky little paws.”
I love those bright pictures. For the little kitty poems mentioned above, kids will see a cute kitty hiding behind a chair, tapping on the kitty, she will jump from place to place in the room. The interaction is just right to maintain child’s interest on the page, and won’t distract the overall attention to the poem.
Each poem is narrated by a kids friendly voice, soothing and soft. There is a playful background music accompany all the poems. However, if you prefer, you can turn the background music off.
Kids can randomly choose any of the poems to read, or they can choose to start from the first and use the navigation arrows to go to the next or previous one.
There are two built in languages in the app: English and Russian. Users can pick the language by tapping on the language button at bottom of the screen.
