This is a question I received several times – how to project iPAD or iPhone screen onto a computer? After some research I found AirServer. But before we get into how to use AirServer, let’s think of some scenarios when you would like to project your iPAD or iPhone screen onto a computer.
First, at home, it is great to be able to see the photos and family videos you took with your iPAD on a bigger screen with the whole family; once awhile I’d like to see what my child is doing on the iPAD and how he is using an app, this makes it easier for us to look at the same screen and still sit comfortably with plenty space; it also makes it possible to share eBooks or book apps for everyone to see at the same time. It is especially useful for teachers to share the iPAD screen to the class – once you project iPAD onto your computer, you can then project your computer screen to the white board or smartboard, and you are free to move around just holding the iPAD. It is a good presentation tool for office and travel business people too. What makes AirServer really useful is the ability to stream the audio – while you are projecting the video or images onto the computer, the audio also goes to your computer and come out from your computer.
