Thank You for the Award

At iGameMom’s 2-month birthday, I received this Versatile Award, thank you Scout (Raising a Realist).

The rules for accepting this award are as follows:

1. Thank the award-givers and link back to them in your post: Raising a Realist

2. Share 7 things about yourself.

  • I am a wife and a mom of 9-year-old boy.
  • In the morning, I work for my day job.  In the afternoon, I am my son’s activity coordinator, driver, and cheer leader.  At night, I am the App researcher and blogger.  I feel I am having three jobs.
  • On top of all those in #2, I am also a cub scout den leader, Junior Achievement volunteer teacher, and LEGO league coach for the school’s LEGO Club. – If you have any good ideas about LEGO for elementary students, pass them on to me please.
  • Since I started the blog, I feel it is becoming my full-time job.  Thanks to all the readers’ support, and this award, I still have the drive to keep it going.
  • English is my second language, so if you find some of the sentences don’t quite go together, now you know why.  My 9-year-old has become my English teacher, particularly on pronunciations.
  • In addition to technology, I am also interested in cultural education.  I plan to take my son to different countries during summers.  We will try to visit as many countries as we can before he goes to college.
  • I prefer a balanced approach on child education.  To see what I mean, please go Here.

3. Pass this award along to 15 other bloggers.

4. Contact your chosen bloggers to let them know about the award.   – will do.  Done.

  • I’ve responded and named my own nominations 🙂

  • Congratulations on your award and on creating such a interesting, helpful blog! I just read your post on the Kahn Academy and the timing was perfect for me to help my third grade daughter with some math she’s struggling to understand. Thank you!

    • I am so happy to know my blog helped someone! Keep me posted on if she likes it or not.

  • Congratulations on the award. Three jobs! Phew, you are obviously a busy person 🙂

  • I think I would love the Lego League! You sound like a very busy women and I am so impressed that you write so well in your second language. Congrat’s on your award!

    • Thank you loulouloves. Yes, LEGO is so much fun. Kids learn a lot too. Thank you for your encouraging words about my English. One of the benefit of writing blog is to continue improving my English. We will see …

  • Fascinating peek! I will come back again! I am just a mom of four boys, ranging in ages 11-23, and find my days revolving around family and friends. I am off to make the morning lattes.

Thank you for thinking of World Moms Blog! We really appreciate it. 🙂

    Jen Burden 🙂

    • Jen,
Thank you! World Mom Blog is such a wonderful idea. I am a loyal follower.

  • Just took my grands to IHOP for the Lorax breakfast specials……my grandson and the mac and truffulla trees… grandaughter, the special pancakes…..and they colored their books and recieved their Truffulla seeds and bookmark when they left…..thought your son would think this was a fun breakfast!

  • Thanks! I’ve already been nominated for this, but I have to say that I do love, love, love the way you described my blog. Can I use that?

  • Wow – thanks so much for the nomination 🙂 I’m honored! I’ll definitely go check out the other nominees too 🙂

I will have to give my nominees some thought because I honestly don’t think I read 15 blogs a day LOL But I will give it my best 😀

    Thanks again!

    • You are welcome! Keep the good music coming…

      • I will promise you that 🙂 And I will respond to the award nomination, but I just don’t know when. Maybe this weekend, but hopefully sooner 🙂

        • I know it takes time. It tooks hours to put everything together into one post. Not just to choose which blog to put there, also what you want to say about the blog, then set up the links for each blog, …. but all is part of the fun.

  • Wow, I’m so flattered to be included in this wonderful group of bloggers. Thank you! And what fun it will be to nominate my own list of award winners!

    • It is. I learned so much from reading blogs. What a online community!

  • I Love nine year olds! I taught fourth grade for 11 years! If you are in CA you have to make a Lego Mission,
I saw a lot of missions, but vote one from Legos! Or another panorama for class extra credit.
I love your site, congrats again, you award winner!

    • Thank you! LEGO mission sounds interesting. How to get started?

  • Such a great blog! Thank you so much for the nomination (:
