We like jigsaw puzzles. It offers many benefits in childhood development. Through playing puzzles, kids develop hand-eye coordination, fine motor and gross motor skills, shape recognition, problem solving, and patience. It is a good quiet activity to help kids to calm down. I recently find a good puzzle app. What I like the most about the app is the ability to adjust the difficult level, so everyone at home can play. You can create a puzzle for a 3-year-old, and you can also create one for an advanced player. It is called Puzzle Flow, and it is free to download.
When you start the app, you will see three sections of puzzles. The top one is premium selections of pictures, which requires a paid upgrade. The middle section is the free section, which includes 3 themes (Magical Lands, Fairy Tale, and Happy Times), and each theme has 8 pictures. The bottom section is the place where you can upload your own pictures. To do this, you also need upgrade.
The place you can adjust the puzzle difficulty level is when after you pick a picture. The app will ask you the number of puzzle pieces you would like to have. You can ask for a 10-piece puzzle, or a 100-piece puzzle. If you have the upgraded version, you can also ask for more than 100 pieces, up to 1000 pieces.
The app makes maneuvering the pieces easy. To move the pieces, you just tap and drag. To turn the pieces, you just tap on one side or one corner of the piece, do a circle move, the piece will turn around just like you move a real puzzle piece on a smooth surface.
I like to play with real jigsaw puzzles on the family table. It is also nice to have a digital puzzle that you can play whenever and wherever. If you are like me, you will like this puzzle app.
If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.
