Kids learning a foreign language? Use the best online learning resources for studying 2nd languages, for preschool to high school. Some are even free. Spanish, Germany, French, Chinese, … | bilingual
Gus on the Go Spanish is designed for toddlers and preschoolers. There is no English instruction in the app. Kids learn Spanish just like it is their first language. Great for bilingual kids and families. The series has a total of 26 language programs, such as Chinese, French, German, Italian, and most apps in the series are available on iOS and Android.

Fun Spanish and the series: kids learn in a game setting. The learning process is very similar to the natural language acquisition process, through engaging repetition. In addition to Spanish, the series also have German, French, and Chinese.

Monki Chinese Class: a fun way to teach kids the pictograph Chinese characters, with the pictures illustrating the character’s meaning.

Kids Learn Mandarin: designed for kids age 2 to 8, it makes the learning fun and easy. You can start with the free version to try it out.

Duolingo: a Free language app for kids and adults of all ages. Within one app, you can sign up for multiple language courses. Currently, there are 5 languages available for English speakers: Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. There are also courses for non-English speakers. The content of the course is designed to be very practical that, if you travel to the region of that language, you can start using what you are learning right away. Duolingo is also available for Android and on their website.

Mindsnack Spanish and other languages: with 9 addictive games designed for essential vocabulary & conversation skills, Mindsnacks Spanish makes language learning a fun experience. It also has Chinese, French, Italy, Japanese. and Portuguese

Pim Track: a free flashcard app covering 8 different languages: Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese, Russian, Portuguese and Japanese. Parent can easily track kids progress and help kids learn. It is the companion app to Little Pim’s language learning videos, and the app does have links to their videos on iTunes that make the learning more fun. If you are serious about having kids learn the language, you should consider buying the video program. It is designed for kids 6 months to 6 years old. They offer videos on DVD also.
