Are you ready for summer? While, ready or not, it is here. What are you going to do with the kids, now they stay home most of the time? Are you concerned about them forgetting what they’ve learned during the year? It is a long break for them. I have read articles about how important it is to help kids retain what they’ve learned in the summer. But summer is meant for fun! How can we, as parents, build in the learning activities into their fun activities? Today I am featuring several fun learning activites shared in last week’s Mom’s Library. Today’s focus is Math.
Before starting searching for math activities, I felt it was very helpful to know how many dimentions are in the general term “math skill”. This article on 25 Fun and Free Math Skill Games has some interesting points, not to mention the 25 activity ideas.
Learning about time is sometimes challenging, a fun game with Mr.Wolf will make it a fun activity for kids.

Next time when you have some popcorns, make sure to try some math games with popcorns.

This pom pom math activity not only teaches kids about math, but also basic science concepts.

Hope you find these activity ideas helpful. Now move on to giveaway!
