Learning alphabet is the first step to literacy. Now with new technology, there are so many ways for kids to learn ABC’s. My Alphabet Underwater ABC is a fun app for toddlers and preshcoolers to learn letters. With the underwater theme, it is fun and soothing at the same time.
The app is designed to help toddlers and preschoolers learn by sight, sound and touch while playing games. Kids will solve puzzles, match letter pairs, write letters, and learn to pronounce each of them.
There are 4 groups of games in the app.
1. Explore the Alphabet:
Kids pick the letter from the alphabet, then play a little puzzle to put the letter together. It is fun that each piece of the puzzle is in a bubble, and kids take the pieces from the bubbles to put together on the big letter of their choice. When they finish, they will hear the letter read to them.
After they put together the letter, kids will choose letters to match the letter shapes in the sea.
After they match all the letters, kids will be asked to trace the letter before they can move on to the next letter.
2. The Missing Letter:
Kids are given 4 letters in alphabet order, each in a bubble with one bubble missing the letter. They need pick the correct letter from the 3 options at the bottom to put in the bubble with no letter. Every time kids finish the game, they hear the 4 letters read to them.
3. Letter Sounds:
Kids will see 5-6 letter bubbles and when they hear a letter, they need pop the bubble holding the letter. When they pick the correct letter, they will hear another letter sound and continue the game till they pick all the letters correctly.
4 Letters Playground:
It is a playground for free play. Kids will see all the letters at the bottom of the screen and they can pick any letter to drag them into the sea. This is the place parents can play with kids together to make some simple words.
