How good are your children at math facts? How quickly can they solve those math problems of addition, subtraction, division and multiplication? Do they like math facts practice? Math facts are the very basic math skills, upon which more advanced math skills are built. Kids not only need know how to do it, they really should get really efficient at it, that they can do these problems quickly without much thinking. After practice, you want kids be able to solve math operations within 20 instantly without thinking. Today’s app is a great app for this purpose.

Operation Math turns math operation practice into exciting spy games. This is the introduction of the game: “Dr. Odd is on a global quest to eliminate the world’s even numbers. And it’s your job to stop him, by seeking out his secret bases, destroying his menacing mainframes and making the world a safer place for math.” Sounds exciting?

To complete a mission, kids must answer a certain number of math questions in 60 seconds. It is amazing to see how many problems one can solve in 60 seconds — more than you think. If the timing makes kids nervous, they can use the training room, which is not timed.

In both mission and training room, kids can choose the operation they want to work on. They can choose one operation, two, or all 4 of them. There are 3 levels: easy, medium, and hard. In Easy level, kids will mostly see problems with single digits. In Hard level, they will see addition and subtraction within 20, and multiplication and division problems within 12.

I love how kids can choose missions around the world, so it is also an app where kids can learn a little world geography while picking mission locations.

The layout of the game is easy to navigate, and the whole setting is so appealing and intriguing making kids want to do more.

Operation Math is available for both Apple devices and Android devices. It is also available on Nook. It is $2.99 on App Store.

If you would like to check it out or purchase it, please use the App Store link provided below. The cost is the same to you, but iGameMom gets a small percentage. Thanks for your support! Note: The link works for all countries.
