ThinkRolls: kids play puzzle games engineered by physics principles. Kids must think creatively to solve the problems to win the game. Great for problem solving skills too.

Angry Birds: it is a popular game, but it is also a great educational tool for kids to learn physics, problem solving, and critical thinking.

Where’s My Water: kids solve puzzles to deliver the water to Swampy for him to take a shower. Along the way, they have to figure out the barriers, find ways to either bypass or get rid of the barriers. Great fun and great way to learn problem solving.

Busy Shapes: kids solve problems with different shapes, with many challenges for critical thinking and problem solving.

Game for Two: it is essentially a set of board games on iPad, but all with some twists. Great for short brain breaks or family nights.

Dinosaur Chess: chess is a great game for critical thinking and problem solving, Dinosaur Chess teaches kids chess and makes it fun for kids.

A+ Click: a math focused website, also available as free app now. All math problems require critical thinking skills, or to think outside the “math” box.

MathLands: another math focused critical thinking app for kids. While playing the 6 games in the app, kids not only learn math, but also critical thinking skills.

Clockwork Brain: a set of mini games for kids to sharpen different aspects of thinking skills

Brain Booster Exercise: 3 sets of different games to challenge your brain to think differently
